**Position: Consultant NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)**

**Responsibilities**:
**As a Consultant NICU, you will be responsible for**:

- Providing comprehensive consultations, examinations, and assessments of newborns in critical medical conditions, considering their medical history and symptoms.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies, blood panels, and genetic testing, to aid in the diagnosis and management of neonatal patients.
- Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans for critically ill newborns, including respiratory support, nutritional management, and medication administration.
- Providing education and guidance to parents regarding their newborn's critical condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Collaborating with other medical specialists, such as neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, and geneticists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for NICU patients.
- Conducting daily rounds in the NICU to monitor newborns' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and address any concerns or complications.
- Actively participating in clinical research studies related to neonatal medicine, contributing to academic publications, and presenting findings at conferences.
- Supervising and mentoring junior medical staff, including residents and fellows, to ensure high-quality care and a positive learning environment.
- Adhering to ethical and legal standards in patient care, ensuring confidentiality and informed consent.

**Requirements**:To be successful in this role, you should have**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Australia: FRACP
- Ireland: CSCST
- Canada: RCPSC
- UK: CCT/CESR
- Spain: Specialization Certificate
- USA: American Board Certification
- Germany: German Board / Facharzt
- Italy: Italian Board / Specialization Certificate
- Sweden: Swedish Board / Specialization Certificate
- France: DES / DESC
