Job responsibilities:

- Executes valve shop activities, trouble shooting of valves etc. Directs and supervises the activities of his team of Valve shop personnel, for activities in the workshop and in the plants. Solely responsible and accountable for the CONTRACTOR'S team of personnel consisting of Valve shop Supervisor, valve technicians.
- Receives work order along all related documents (i.e. data sheet or drawing etc.) requests concerning repair of valves in the workshop. Discuss with initiators and recommends optimum methods of execution.
- Assigns work with appropriate instructions and ensuring all the work flow as per approved procedure and work instructions to subordinates and arrange for inspection and certification with complete witness and record.
- Determining frequency of valve shop equipment maintenance.
- Supervises corrective maintenance of Fire Water System and its components.
- Carries out regular inspections of the shop and work areas to ensure that the safe working conditions are provided that equipment and tools are used in accordance with operating instructions and that equipment which is malfunctioning is identified for repair or replacement.
- Inspects completed work for conformity to Valve Technicians, operational requirements and safety standards. Co-operates with other maintenance contact and get signed every certificate from Company Supervisor after Job completion.
- Performs other related duties, includes ensuring observance of all safety and fire rules and regulations by personnel working in the workshop, ensuring the correct and safe use of workshop equipment, preparing activity reports, attending meetings etc.
- Preserves all accessories to be used for Valve repair and testing activities and keeping record against each parts/Components.
- Daily contact with Maintenance, Operation, Planning and Technical Group personnel up to Team Leader level, to clarify workshop assistance required on Valves, and to establish priorities according to operation requirements to minimise interruptions.
- Conduct daily tool box talk to ensure safer working environment for the personal and assets.
- Ensure proper Housekeeping of the machine and work premises and contact to the relevant parties in waste disposal.
- Perform lapping activities of HP pressure components.
- Ensure all the lifting tools are properly inspected and colour coded.
- Ensure all loose hoses are duly inspected & colour coded.
- Ensure all measuring tools are duly calibrated by the 3rd Party.
- Ensure all MSDS for chemical consumables are in place.
- Ensure traceability of spares & materials physically and electronically.
- Notifying spares/ consumables unavailability in time, so as to avoid job interruption
- Arrange necessary resources (rigging/crane etc.) for dropping and installation of safety valves as a part corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Follow and implement Company HSE, PTW and PPE rules as applicable.

Job Requirements:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in modern valve shop, with experience of preventive and corrective maintenance of a comprehensive workshop facility, typically catering to a refinery or petrochemical plant.
- Familiar with international standards relating to Pressure Relieve Valves, Vacuum Breakers ,Pressure Safety Valves, Manual [solation Valves (Gate, Globe, Butterfly, Needle, Ball, Diaphragm, Piston etc.) &, Control Valves.
- Shall have expertise on maintenance, testing and certification of above equipment / valves.
- Familiar with various features & operation of Valve Shop Equipment (c.g. Safety test bench, control valve test bench, isolation valve test bench, lapping & grinding machines etc.)
- Capable of Understating Machine shop equipment various features & operations as per their OEM Manuals.
- Good knowledge of computer skills (MS Office tools).
- Exposure to ERP software like SAP or MAXIMO maintenance and materials module preferred.

Pay: AED9,500.00 - AED10,500.00 per month
