Installation, configuration, and upgrade of MYSQL/Oracle database software, including EBS components.

Patch management, database version upgrades, and optimization for efficient EBS operations.

Performance tuning and optimization.

Comprehensive Backup and recovery management as per SLA, RPO for all prod databases.

Expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) administration, ensuring seamless functionality and performance integration.

Implementation and management of security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

Work with infosec team perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Adherence to industry best practices for Oracle database security.

Implementation of Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPUs) and security guidelines.

Utilization of Oracle Database Vault or similar tools for advanced security controls.

Implementation of transparent data encryption (TDE) or equivalent measures to protect sensitive information.

Implementation and management of robust access controls to restrict unauthorized access to the Oracle database.

User authentication and authorization, including role-based access control (RBAC).

Periodic review and adjustment of access privileges based on changing business requirements.

Proactive monitoring of database health and performance.

Implementation of alerting mechanisms for timely issue resolution.

Maintenance of comprehensive documentation for database configurations and procedures.

Maintain and update database inventory.

Regular reporting on database performance and activities.

Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle RAC environments.

Performance tuning and optimization for RAC deployments.

High availability and failover management.

Implementation and management of Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and Active Data Guard for reporting systems.

Monitoring and verification of Data Guard synchronization.

Failover and switchover planning and execution.

Implementation of Oracle Audit Vault or similar solutions.

Configuration of audit policies to track database activities.

Regular audit reviews with internal/external audits and reporting.

Installation, configuration, and management of Oracle Virtual Machine environments.

Integration with Oracle databases for optimized resource utilization.

Support VM migration from OVM to VM/OVIRT.

Deployment, configuration and management of Oracle Enterprise Manager for centralized database management.

Monitoring, alerting, and reporting through OEM.

Continuous performance monitoring and analysis.

Identification and resolution of performance bottlenecks.

Proactive tuning for optimal database performance.

Configuration of Golden Gate for high availability and manage to ensure uninterrupted data replication.

Support database copy and cloning activities using native restoration and storage cloning techniques.

Availability for on-call support and rapid response to critical issues.

Disaster recovery planning and execution.

**Qualifications**

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or other relevant field of study

Proven experience in Oracle database administration.

Certification in Oracle Database Administration is a plus.

In-depth knowledge of Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and disaster recovery.

Demonstrated success in managing and optimizing large-scale Oracle database environments.

Strong knowledge of security best practices for Oracle databases.

Ability to provide 24/7 support and respond to critical issues promptly.

Proven experience in patching, upgrading EBS environment.

Proven experience in managing MYSQL, Goldengate administration
