**Job Description**:
The primary responsibility of the teacher is to be knowledgeable about content in Chemistry and/or Biology; to meet the needs of a wide variety of students, and to effectively communicate with and engage students in learning in developmentally appropriate ways.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:The teacher will
- Be directly accountable to the school principal
- Assist with the organization of courses of study in cooperation with school learning objectives and in compliance with accreditation processes
- Prepare a systematic plan for instruction that includes: a statement of general and specific learning objectives with time allotted for each unit, strategies employed during instruction to increase student engagement in the learning process, and methods of evaluation
- Keep accurate, complete, and timely records of student's grades and attendance
- Evaluate and grade fairly in accordance with grading policies
- Assume responsibility at all times for students assigned to his/her care

Give prompt attention to routine classroom matters:

- Textbook and equipment records
- Student records (cumulative folders, report cards, conference records, etc.)
- Accurate reporting of classroom
