**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Monitor aircraft movements using radar, surveillance systems, and visual observation to maintain safe separation distances and prevent collisions.
2. Provide air traffic control services to pilots, including issuing instructions for takeoffs, landings, altitude changes, and route adjustments in compliance with air traffic control procedures and regulations.
3. Communicate with pilots, ground control, and other air traffic controllers via radio communication, relaying clear and concise instructions and information to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations.
4. Manage airspace capacity and traffic flow, sequencing and spacing aircraft arrivals and departures to minimize delays and congestion while maintaining safety standards.
5. Coordinate with adjacent air traffic control facilities, airports, and airspace sectors to facilitate the transfer of control, handoffs of aircraft, and resolution of traffic conflicts.
6. Monitor weather conditions, air traffic volume, and airport operations to assess operational impact and adjust traffic management strategies as needed to maintain safety and efficiency.
7. Provide assistance and support during emergency situations, such as aircraft diversions, weather-related disruptions, or equipment failures, coordinating response efforts and implementing contingency plans.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Air Traffic Management, Aviation Administration, or a related field; completion of an accredited air traffic control training program is required.
2. Certification as an Air Traffic Controller issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or relevant aviation authority; additional certifications or ratings may be required depending on jurisdiction.
3. Proven experience as an Air Traffic Controller in a civilian or military aviation environment, with demonstrated proficiency in air traffic control procedures and techniques.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information and instructions to pilots and colleagues under high-stress conditions.
5. Excellent situational awareness, decision-making abilities, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze information, assess risks, and make sound judgments in real-time.
