**Job Opportunity**:
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for an Underwriter to join our Casualty team. This position will base in Dubai and will be a great fit for an experienced Casualty Underwriter with minimum 4 years of experience looking to expand responsibilities and underwriting knowledge as well as grow a book of business. We are seeking an individual who is hard working, team-oriented, passionate, and always strives towards excellence.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the accurate evaluation, selection, and pricing of Casualty risk.
- Executing technical underwriting skills, complete rating tool and work with actuaries when required.
- Underwrite and grow profitable book of business within the established underwriting guidelines.
- Proactive interaction and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
- Identifying and developing new business pipelines and manage renewal retention to meet and exceed financial plans.
- Work with cross functional teams in development and execution of business.
- Team player and prepared to undertake additional tasks and projects in support of the overall objectives of the BHSI.
- Support management in developing strategies to drive profitable results in line with department objectives.
- Assist on product/price benchmarking in the market and feedback on product enhancements.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- 4 years of relevant professional experience with Commercial Insurer and Reinsurer Insurance broking firm.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Arabic or French.
- Good judgement and attention to details.
- High level of interpersonal and negotiation skills. Able to demonstrate sales, marketing, and relationship building experience.
- Ability to work in and adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to manage workload effectively, especially during times peak periods.
- Ability to travel to different countries within MENA region.
