**Job Title**: HDPE Welder

**Job Summary**:
An HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) Welder is responsible for joining HDPE pipes and fittings using heat fusion techniques to create strong, durable, and leak-free connections. This role involves operating fusion welding equipment, preparing pipe surfaces, and ensuring proper fusion procedures to meet project specifications and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**HDPE Fusion Welding**:
1. Operate fusion welding machines to join HDPE pipes and fittings using butt fusion, socket fusion, or electrofusion techniques.

2. Ensure proper heating, alignment, and fusion pressure to achieve a strong and reliable weld.

**Pipe Preparation**:
1. Clean and prepare pipe surfaces for fusion welding, removing dirt, debris, and contaminants.

2. Verify the integrity of pipe ends, chamfering or beveling edges as needed for proper fusion.

**Quality Assurance**:
1. Monitor fusion welding processes and visually inspect welded joints for defects, voids, or imperfections.

2. Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) and pressure tests to verify weld integrity and leak resistance.

**Safety Compliance**:
1. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when operating fusion welding equipment and handling HDPE materials.

2. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

**Documentation**:
1. Maintain accurate records of fusion welding activities, including weld logs, fusion parameters, and inspection reports.

2. Complete and submit work orders, quality control documents, and project documentation as required.

**Collaboration**:
1. Coordinate with other construction team members, including pipe fitters, welders, and inspectors, to complete projects.

2. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure project goals are met.

**Equipment Maintenance**:
1. Perform routine maintenance on fusion welding machines and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.

2. Clean and lubricate fusion welding equipment, replace worn parts, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or training in HDPE fusion welding techniques is required.
- Previous experience as an HDPE Welder or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of HDPE materials, fusion welding processes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in operating fusion welding equipment, including butt fusion machines, socket fusion tools, and electrofusion units.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fusion welding operations.
- Ability to read and interpret welding procedures, specifications, and drawings.
- Physical fitness for lifting, carrying, and maneuvering HDPE pipes and welding equipment.

**Working Conditions**:

- HDPE Welders work outdoors and indoors on construction sites, pipelines, and infrastructure projects.
- The role may involve exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials.
- Work hours may vary based on project schedules and deadlines, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
