**2. Technical Expertise**
- Diagnose complex vehicle issues and provide technical guidance to the team.

**3. Team Leadership and Development**
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the workshop team to achieve high performance.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance technical and operational skills.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback.

**4. Customer Interaction**
- Communicate with customers to understand their vehicle issues and explain repair processes.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and timeframes for repairs.

**5. Inventory and Resource Management**
- Ensure adequate availability of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Maintain an organized and clean workshop environment.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to order parts and supplies as needed.

**6. Reporting and Documentation**
- Prepare daily reports on workshop activities, including job progress and productivity.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and technician assignments.
- Report any operational issues to the Workshop Manager.

**Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Skills**
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various automobile systems (engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools, equipment, and software.
- Familiarity with workshop safety protocols and procedures.

**Leadership Skills**
- Proven experience managing a team in a workshop or similar environment.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively and maintain a collaborative team spirit.

**Customer Service Skills**
- Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical customers.
- Ability to handle customer complaints professionally and diplomatically.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in Automobile Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a technician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or equivalent is an advantage.
