**Role Purpose**:
As a lecturer, you are responsible for engaging students in the learning processes to ensure student outcomes are maximised. You will provide the necessary scaffolding, or supportive activities to support the student as they are led through the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD).

You will also support the instructional design and content production team by providing source content in your area of operations for creating learning artefacts - videos, reading materials, interaction materials that can be delivered and consumed online. You will also be using these materials in your own teaching efforts.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Deliver virtual and blended learning sessions based on the given curriculum to achieve learning outcomes
- Assign, receive and assess learning activities using developed rubrics via the learning management system.
- Manage individual and group student support activities as needed to ensure learning outcomes are achieved.
- Modify, update, and maintain Instructor and student guides to ensure teaching is up to date and relevant for the students.
- All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
- Observe virtual learning sessions to assist in enhancing and maintaining high quality standards.
- Developing source content for production e-learning activity objects based on the learning outcomes associated with the relevant curriculum.
- Work with Instructional designers to produce high quality e-learning materials.
- Responsible for quality assurance of all course materials including the virtual learning sessions you will conduct or observe.
- Work with instructional designers to produce facilitator guides and user take-away materials related to the learning outcomes.
- Attend meetings as required, to contribute to the decision-making process and to develop productive working relationships within the various teams you will be engaged with.
- To actively be involved in staff development activities and peer observations
- Understand and keep up to date with student support to ensure our students have the full support and guidance they need.
- To participate in the GBS performance management programme, meeting a range of clearly defined objectives for student outcomes, student satisfaction, retention, and attendance.
- Undertake administrative duties as agreed with your line manager
- Take on other responsibilities as required to support the work of GBS+.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- You will hold qualifications at least Master’s level and will usually hold a PhD or be able to demonstrate equivalent high level professional experience in a related Business Management
- You will have experience of developing and delivering online content
- Teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc.
- Previous lecturing experience on HND programmes is desirable
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
- Professional conduct in all interactions with staff and students.
- Attention to detail and accurate reporting
- Ability to maintain thorough and organised student records
- Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
- Highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to AED15,000.00 per month
