The Animal Caretaker will be responsible for the daily care and welfare of animals in a designated facility located in Abu Dhabi. This role involves providing compassionate and attentive care to ensure the health, cleanliness, and comfort of the animals under their supervision.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Animal Feeding**: Prepare and distribute food according to specified diets and feeding schedules, ensuring all animals receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
- **Enclosure Maintenance**: Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, habitats, and living areas on a regular basis to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- **Grooming and Hygiene**: Assist with grooming and hygiene tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to ensure the well-being and appearance of the animals.
- **Health Monitoring**: Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes, and report any concerns to supervisory staff or veterinary personnel.
- **Environmental Enrichment**: Implement enrichment activities and toys to stimulate natural behaviors and promote mental and physical exercise.
- **Assist with Handling**: Safely handle and restrain animals as needed for routine care, medical procedures, or transport, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of animal care activities, including feeding schedules, health observations, and any other relevant information.
- **Visitor Interaction**: Interact with visitors, providing information about the animals, their habitats, and conservation efforts, and answering questions in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
- **Safety and Security**: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of both animals and personnel at all times.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies such as animal escapes, medical incidents, or inclement weather, following established protocols and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working with animals in a zoo, sanctuary, or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal behavior, husbandry practices, and basic veterinary care principles.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying heavy objects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or irregular hours as required.
- Passion for animal welfare and conservation.
