Key Responsibilities:

- Welding Operations: Perform welding tasks using techniques such as arc welding, gas welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, and flux-cored welding.
- Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and fitting metal components as per project requirements.
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine welding specifications and procedures.
- Equipment Setup: Set up welding equipment including welding machines, gas tanks, and electrodes, ensuring proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Weld Inspection: Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, supervisors, and contractors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Documentation: Record and maintain documentation related to welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and inspection reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in welding technology, techniques, and safety practices through training and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in welding or completion of a welding apprenticeship program preferred.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques such as arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and protocols.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in various positions and environments.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
