Ac Ductman

The **AC Ductman** will be responsible for ensuring the proper installation and connection of duct systems, working alongside other MEP professionals to ensure the efficient operation of HVAC systems in interior fit-out projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **AC Duct Installation & Fabrication**:

- Install and fabricate **HVAC ducts** (round, rectangular, and flexible) according to project specifications and technical drawings.
- Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork using hand tools, power tools, and duct machines as per approved shop drawings.
- Install ducting systems, including **supply**, **return**, and **exhaust ducts**, ensuring they are securely fitted, sealed, and insulated as required.
- Ensure that all ductwork is installed correctly and complies with safety and building codes.
- **Workplace Safety & Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety standards for working with HVAC systems.
- Ensure that all installations meet the project’s **safety regulations**, and work in compliance with local and international standards.
- Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor or site manager promptly.
- **Coordination & Teamwork**:

- Work closely with **HVAC technicians**, **site engineers**, and other MEP personnel to ensure the smooth execution of HVAC duct installations.
- Coordinate with other trades, such as electrical and plumbing teams, to avoid conflicts and ensure efficient integration of systems.
- Assist in moving materials and equipment around the job site as needed to ensure the timely completion of duct installations.
- **Quality Control & Testing**:

- Ensure that all ductwork is securely fastened and insulated as per the project requirements and specifications.
- Perform inspections of installed ducts, checking for any defects, leaks, or damages.
- Ensure proper sealing of ducts at joints, corners, and other connections to prevent air leaks and improve system efficiency.
- Assist with the final testing and commissioning of the HVAC system to ensure ducts are fully functional and operating efficiently.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Keep a record of the work completed, including material usage, installation progress, and any challenges encountered during the process.
- Report progress and any issues on-site to the MEP supervisor or HVAC supervisor on a regular basis.
- Follow and maintain the daily logs of installed ductwork and any work changes or site modifications.
- **Maintenance & Repair**:

- Perform maintenance and minor repairs to the duct system as needed, ensuring any issues are rectified promptly.
- Assist in troubleshooting duct-related issues, such as air leaks or poor airflow, and ensure repairs are made swiftly to minimize system downtime.
- **Material Handling**:

- Handle and store duct materials safely, ensuring proper care and protection of components, such as ducts, insulation, seals, and fasteners.
- Ensure that materials are ordered and stocked in line with project requirements to avoid delays.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Experience**:

- 5-10 years of experience as an **AC Ductman** in **interior fit-out contracting** or **construction** companies in the UAE.
- Proven experience with the installation and fabrication of **HVAC duct systems**, including **GI (Galvanized Iron)** ducts, **flexible ducts**, and **insulated ducts**.
- **Education & Certifications**:

- **High school diploma** or equivalent; technical certifications in HVAC systems or ductwork installation are a plus.
- Certification in **HVAC systems** or any related courses is desirable.
- **Skills & Expertise**:

- Strong hands-on experience with **duct installation**, **fabrication**, and **sealing** techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret **technical drawings** and **shop drawings** for duct systems.
- Familiarity with different types of HVAC systems and duct materials used in fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of **insulation techniques**, sealing methods, and air leakage prevention.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accurate measurements and high-quality installations.
- Good understanding of **safety protocols** while working with HVAC systems and duct materials.
- **Language Skills**:

- Proficiency in **English** (both written and spoken). Knowledge of **Arabic** is an advantage.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and at heights when necessary.
- Capability to work in various conditions, including construction sites, and a flexible approach to working hours.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
