BIM Manager / Coordinator

Department: Technical

Reports To: Associate Director, Managing Director, Founder & Creative Director

**Position Summary**

The BIM Manager / Coordinator will oversee all BIM-related activities for all BIM projects in the company.

**Essential Functions**

An experienced, qualified individual who can oversee multiple projects and teams independently, aiding the Directors to improve the overall performance of the company and their teams.

Fully committed to the company and will be a contributor to the growth of the company not only through delivering technical excellence for projects but also through contributions to wider aspects of the business such as BIM standards and guidelines development.

Serve as the main point of contact for the Client / Client BIM Manager on all projects' BIM-related matters.

Attending weekly projects' BIM meetings, to present weekly coordination items, and ensure all information is clearly communicated with the teams as required to ensure all BIM-related items are closed out.

Coordinate closely with our client's design and technical teams as required for all BIM-related matters.

Coordinate closely with our client's approved Revit Outsource companies as required for all BIM-related matters.

Facilitate the effective delivery of BIM models on all BIM projects.

Ensure compliance with all client BIM standards, guidelines, and the projects' BIM Execution Plans.

Facilitate uniformity in work-set strategies, objects, and families & naming as per projects' BEP.

To assist with consistency in BIM model quality and modelling practices.

To assist with the careful set-up and planning, technical delivery, quality assurance and quality control of all project BIM-related documentation.

To assist with effective BIM document management and BIM project management.

Analyze project performance objectively and provide up-to-date projects progress reports as required.

Identify potential issues and coordinate with the Directors to propose a solution or direction to resolve them.

Ensure all teams understand the company BIM documentation standards, adhere to them, and have the required equipment to perforM/Fulfil their responsibilities.

Champion key roles within the wider practice structure for example:

- BIM model reviews
- BIM Training & mentoring
- Continually developing the company's BIM standards
- Continuing professional development for BIM

Work constructively within all relevant policies and regulatory frameworks within the company.

All tasks shall be carried out in accordance with our client's operational standards, documentation standards and procedures.

**Background & Skills**

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 10 years + experience working for Interior Design, Architecture or Client / Developer companies.

Software Skills: BIM Revit, Design Collaborate Pro, Navisworks, EDMS (ACC / BIM360), AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office.
