Private Markets Investment Analyst

**1. Investment Analysis**:
a. Assess the attractiveness and viability of target companies, considering industry trends, competitive landscape, growth prospects, and operational performance
b. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation assessments, to evaluate potential investment opportunities
c. Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, summarizing key findings, investment rationale, and recommendations
**2. Financial Modeling**:
a. Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investment returns, including cash flow projections, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing
b. Perform valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow (DCF), trading comps and transaction multiples
**3. Due Diligence**:
a. Evaluate the company's financial statements, business plan, management team, and market positioning
b. Identify key risks, opportunities, and synergies to support investment decision-making
c. Collaborate with external advisors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to conduct rigorous due diligence on potential investment targets, including financial, operational, and legal analysis
**4. Transaction Execution Assistance**:
a. Support the execution of investment transactions by assisting in drafting transaction documents, coordinating with external advisors, and managing the transaction closing process
b. Coordinate with legal counsel, investment bankers, and other advisors to facilitate the closing of transactions in a timely and efficient manner
**5. Portfolio Management**:
a. Assist in monitoring the performance of portfolio companies, track key performance indicators, including financial and operational performance, industry trends, and competitive dynamics
**6. Market Research**:
a. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments through ongoing research and analysis
b. Identify emerging investment themes and opportunities, providing insights to senior team members to inform investment strategy and decision-making
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Between 1-2 years of full-time work experience in Private Equity, Private Credit, Investment Banking or a similar role
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation and investment analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g. Bloomberg, Factset)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate investment recommendations and complex financial concepts
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines
- Driven, energetic and resourceful, with a strong work ethic and, a positive mindset a desire to learn and grow within the private investment industry
