Estimator - Tyres

**Job Summary**

The Estimator - Tyres will play a crucial role in assessing customer needs, providing accurate and competitive price estimates for tire services, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires a deep understanding of various tire types, sizes, and brands, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Customer Interaction**:

- Greet and engage with customers seeking tire services, both in-person and over the phone.
- Collect detailed information about the customer's requirements, including tire size, type, and any specific preferences.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable guidance to customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns.

2. **Estimation**
- Utilize expertise in tires to accurately estimate costs for tire replacement, repair, rotation, alignment, and other related services.
- Consider factors such as tire type, brand, size, tread depth, and labor when providing estimates.
- Ensure that cost estimates are competitive while maintaining profitability for the company.

3. **Technical Expertise**
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tire technologies, brands, and models in the market.
- Advise customers on tire options that best suit their vehicles, driving habits, and budget.
- Collaborate with technicians and mechanics to understand the technical aspects of tire services.

4. **Documentation**
- Create detailed and accurate work orders, clearly outlining the recommended tire services, estimated costs, and any additional notes.
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions, estimates, and completed services.

5. **Customer Relationship Management**
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service, expert advice, and timely follow-ups.
- Address customer concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

6. **Collaboration**
- Coordinate with the sales team, technicians, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer experiences.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in automotive or tire-related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience as a tire estimator or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- In-depth knowledge of various tire types, brands, sizes, and their performance characteristics.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Proficient in using computer software and tools for creating estimates and maintaining records.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
