**Assistant L&D Manager**

**Position Overview**:
The Assistant Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is a key member of the Talent & Culture team responsible for supporting the Talent & Culture Manager in all aspects of training and development within the hotel. This role focuses on enhancing the knowledge, skills, and performance of the heartists through effective training programs, workshops, and development initiatives. The Assistant L&D Manager works closely with department heads and the departmental trainers to ensure that the training needs of the hotel are met and aligned with organizational goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Training Programs Development**:

- Collaborate with the Talent & Culture Manager to identify training needs and design customized learning programs for different departments within the hotel.
- Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, handouts, e-learning modules, and other multimedia content.
- Update and enhance existing training materials to reflect changes in industry trends, policies, and procedures.

**Training Delivery and Facilitation**:

- Conduct training sessions for various employee groups, including new hires, existing staff, and leadership teams.
- Use a variety of training methodologies and techniques to ensure effective learning and engagement of participants.
- Evaluate training sessions' effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and post-training evaluations.

**Performance Management and Coaching**:

- Assist in implementing performance management programs, and feedback mechanisms.
- Provide coaching and support to all heartists and managers to improve their performance and address performance gaps.

**Onboarding and Orientation**:

- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into their roles and the company culture.
- Facilitate orientation sessions to familiarize new heartists with the hotel's policies, values, and expectations.

**Compliance and Certifications**:

- Monitor and ensure that all mandatory training and certifications are completed by relevant staff members.
- Keep abreast of relevant industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance with training initiatives.

**Learning and Development Administration**:

- Maintain accurate training records and ensure that heartists training data is up-to-date.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling training events, workshops, and seminars.

**Heartists Development Initiatives**:

- Collaborate with department heads and HR team members to identify potential high-potential heartists for talent development programs.
- Support the development and implementation of succession planning initiatives within the hotel.
- L&D Budget and Vendor Management:

- Assist in managing the Learning & Development budget, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective training solutions.
- Liaise with external training vendors and negotiate contracts for external training programs when necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Talent & Culture, Training & Development, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a training or learning and development role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of training methodologies, adult learning principles, and instructional design concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships with diverse teams.
- Flexibility to work on weekends or evenings for training sessions, as required.
