**Job Title**: Rope Access Technician

**Job Summary**:
A Rope Access Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, inspection, and construction tasks at heights or in difficult-to-access areas using specialized rope access techniques and equipment. This role involves working on ropes, harnesses, and rigging systems to access and work safely in elevated or confined spaces, such as bridges, towers, buildings, and industrial structures.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Rope Access Work**:
1. Perform rope access techniques, including ascending, descending, and traversing using ropes and specialized equipment.

2. Rig ropes and anchor systems to safely access work areas at height or in confined spaces.

**Maintenance and Inspection**:
1. Conduct maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on structures, equipment, and facilities.

2. Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections to assess structural integrity and identify defects or damage.

**Construction and Installation**:
1. Assist with construction and installation projects, including welding, painting, and mechanical assembly.

2. Erect scaffolding, platforms, or support structures as needed for work at height or in challenging environments.

**Safety Compliance**:
1. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for rope access work, including fall protection, rescue procedures, and equipment inspections.

2. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

**Documentation**:
1. Maintain accurate records of rope access activities, including work permits, inspection reports, and equipment logs.

2. Complete and submit work orders, safety documentation, and project reports as required.

**Collaboration**:
1. Coordinate with other maintenance technicians, construction workers, and project teams to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

2. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure work objectives are met and risks are managed.

**Equipment Maintenance**:
1. Inspect and maintain rope access equipment, including harnesses, ropes, carabiners, and descenders, to ensure compliance with safety standards.

2. Clean, lubricate, and store equipment properly after each use to prolong lifespan and functionality.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Rope Access Technician from a recognized training organization (e.g., IRATA, SPRAT) is required.
- Previous experience in rope access work or related trades (e.g., construction, maintenance, climbing) is preferred.
- Knowledge of rope access techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using rope access equipment, including harnesses, ropes, ascenders, descenders, and anchors.
- Strong physical fitness and agility for working at heights and in challenging environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

**Working Conditions**:

- Rope Access Technicians work outdoors and indoors in various weather conditions and environments.
- The role may involve working at extreme heights, in confined spaces, or in remote locations.
- Work hours may vary based on project schedules and deadlines, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Pay: From AED1,500.00 per month
