We are looking to hire a persistent **Underwriter of General Insurance (Insurance Law Suggester) (6 - 8 Years experience) **for a well-established **Group of Companies and industries **to join our technical team in Dubai. Reporting to the Chairman the incumbent will be responsible for the entire general insurance underwriting process through a variety of technical tasks. Skilled in Global Corporate Insurance Programs, Risk Analytical Skills, Underwriting, Negotiation, Claims Management, and Insurance due diligence during mergers and acquisitions. Highly organized, quick learner, and capable of performing many different tasks.

We seek to present our products in terms of different types of insurance such as Group and Individual Medical, Professional Indemnity, Property, Lands, Banks, Marine, Logistics, Workmen's Compensation, Contractor's All Risk, Motor,

**Responsibilities**
- Deliver against underwriting and financial measures.
- Underwrite risks and handle technical referrals.
- Responsible for underwriting both new business and renewals. Accurately select, assess, and price risk in line with underwriting guidance.
- Managing Claims Reporting and Settlements, communicate with the relevant department(s) and insurance brokers, loss adjusters or third-party insurers to ensure maximum and quick settlement.
- Ensure standards are met and the governance framework adhered to.
- Develop key internal stakeholder relationships.
- Liaising with Brokers, Insurers and all other concerned authorities and departments for designing policies and settlement of claims.
- Skills Required Proficient Excel skills Analytical mind Result oriented Good written and verbal communication skills Good Presentation Skills.
- Previous insurance experience is a must.
- Coding knowledge is preferred.
- Knowledge of different network tariffs.
- Experience in dealing with insurers.
- The ability to manage clients, distribution teams, and insurers. Experience in handling claims.
- Conducting Risk & Gap analysis and ensuring all risks are covered in line with company guidelines.
- Designed and implemented Insurance management tool for effective insurance management work.
- Insurance due diligence during Merger & Acquisition and act as an advisor during contracts to Legal Team.
- Planning, organizing, and controlling all requisite activities such as analyzing contract documents, identifying risk exposure, formulating structured proposals for required insurance cover, floating RFP to brokers, and insurers, obtaining non-binding indicative quotes, Negotiating of Insurance premiums and Terms and conditions including the deductible limits for all policies.

**Educational Qualifications & Certifications**:

- _Education, Experience and Formal/Professional Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Minimum 5 years of experience in General Insurance._
- _CII Certification_
- _Certification In Risk Management_
- _Certification / Diploma in Marine Insurance_
- _Cleared Licentiate from Insurance_
- (Study Insurance) business, economics, or a related field.
- (Chartered Insurance Institute),(Certificate in Regulated General Insurance) or any additional certifications are beneficial.

**Function specific experience**:

- Must have experience in Insurance **(7-8 years/ UAE / Group of Companies/ Industries)**:

- Excellent knowledge and experience in Logistics - Industry and assets & other types of insurance claims & claims management process.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task, works under pressure, and meet deadlines required.
- Experience of leading on financial aspects of multi-projects contract management and providing advice on complex claims management.
