Electrician

Fugro UAE is looking for an Electrician to come and join our Facilities Management Team. The job will be part of the site maintenance team, where you will be responsible for the electrical side of the site which will include domestic and industrial type circuits, PAT testing all facility equipment. The Electrician will work closely with the Workshop supervisor and technicians to ensure that facility systems and equipment are operational.

Job responsibilities:
- Electrical Systems and Circuits: Understanding of electrical systems, including domestic and industrial circuits. This includes knowledge of wiring, distribution panels, circuit breakers, and electrical outlets.- PAT Testing: Proficiency in performing Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on facility equipment. This involves inspecting, testing, and certifying electrical appliances to ensure their safety and compliance with regulations.- Electrical Maintenance and Repair: Hands-on experience in conducting routine maintenance, testing, and repairs on electrical equipment to ensure its reliability and functionality.- Electrical Safety: Knowledge of electrical safety practices and regulations to minimize hazards and prevent accidents while working with electrical systems and equipment.- Blueprint and Schematic Reading: Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to understand the layout and connections of electrical circuits and equipment.- Circuit Load Management: Understanding of circuit load management to ensure proper distribution of electrical power and prevent overloading.- Safety Protocols: Adherence to Fugro safety protocols while working on electrical systems, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.

You bring (qualifications & experience)- Vocational education- Relevant work experience in electrical maintenance and repair.- Good communication skills.- Minimum of 5 years experience as a qualified Electrician.- Familiarity with domestic and industrial circuits.- Ability to conduct PAT testing on facility equipment.
