**Job description**

As our new Trading Assistant, you will be joining a very professional, enthusiastic, and gregarious trading floor in Dubai.

Additionally, given our remarkable presence in East Asia, especially China, your role is to ensure that the current client networks in Asia receive an optimum level of support, as well as to be able to create business prospects in the AG (Arabian Gulf) market. As such, it is important that you maintain a determined mindset of being a customer-focused, comprehend the market industry and business culture, deliver excellent customer service, and cultivate sustainable relations with colleagues and business partners.

**Areas of focus**
- Keeping and maintaining daily tracking of vessel movements
- Data quality maintenance e.g. vessel’s tracking, daily indications/prices
- Processing of sales and purchase orders
- Assisting on tender materials
- Data entry into our IT system (NAV)
- Ensuring that all procedures and processes required are streamlined and optimised
- Ad hoc administrative tasks

**Your professional skills**
- Relevant administrative or commercial education
- Experience from a similar position for 3 years e.g. as Sales Coordinator or Assistant
- A good network within the shipping community is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Microsoft NAV is a plus
- Fluent in both written and verbal English and Mandarin
