Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Accounts Assistant** with 1 year of experience in managing payables, particularly in a retail or drugstore environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Process and review supplier invoices, matching them with purchase orders and receipts.
- Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely disbursement to suppliers and vendors.
- Reconcile supplier statements with internal records and resolve discrepancies.
- Verify accuracy of vendor bills, including those related to drugstore inventory purchases.
- Track and process employee expense claims.
- Assist in monitoring and managing petty cash funds.
- Maintain and update the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy in drugstore-related expenses.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and order confirmations.
- Build and maintain good relationships with key suppliers.
- Assist the finance team with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support audits by preparing relevant documentation for payables and inventory.
- Contribute to improving internal controls and processes within the accounts payable function.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as Accounts Payable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
