- Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi is e a UK curriculum day school enrolling students from Early Years to Year 13 in the city’s prestigious residential district Al Reem Island, next to the Sorbonne University campus. Our new school will has the capacity for 2,600 students upon completion. Its first phase of development, openeded September 2023, included the Early Years building and sports facilities, while the second phase opening in Summer 2024 will include the main Primary and Secondary classrooms.**About the Role**
- Teaching Assistants play an important role in creating a positive learning environment for our students. Working under the supervision of a teacher, a Teaching Assistant may work with children on an individual basis, in small groups or with a whole class to embed day-to-day learning. Teaching Assistants also contribute to monitoring the progress of students and provide feedback to support the teacher in providing a more individualised approach to learning. A minimum of a high school diploma level education
- A minimum of 2-years experience working in a similar position
- A sound understanding of teaching best practice
- High level of fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and parents
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- High level of international and inter-cultural understanding
- An understanding of the British curriculum would be advantageous

**Additional Responsibilities Include**:

- Provide support, coaching and mentoring for TAs as appropriate
- Plan and prepare resources for intervention groups within year group
- Take responsibilities to organise and allocate resources
- Work with year leader to organise lunch/break duties
- Support inclusion team with interventions across Primary
- Support with whole school activities
- Collaborate to run training for TAs
- Provide additional support to class with new students
