Job Summary:
A Diamond Setter is a skilled artisan responsible for meticulously setting diamonds and other precious stones into various jewelry pieces. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work with various metals to create stunning jewelry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diamond Setting: Precisely set diamonds and other gemstones into jewelry pieces, including rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, using various setting techniques such as prong, bezel, pave, and channel settings.
2. Inspect and Grade Stones: Examine diamonds and gemstones to assess their quality, size, and clarity, ensuring they meet specified standards and match design requirements.
3. Jewelry Design Interpretation: Interpret design specifications and translate them into physical jewelry pieces by selecting appropriate stones and employing the necessary setting techniques.
4. Metalwork: Work with various metals, such as gold, platinum, or silver, to create or modify jewelry settings that securely hold gemstones.
5. Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance on existing jewelry pieces, including tightening or resetting stones, resizing rings, and refurbishing damaged jewelry.
6. Quality Control: Ensure the quality and integrity of finished jewelry by examining the settings for accuracy, security, and aesthetics.
7. Safety and Security: Handle diamonds and valuable gemstones with care, following established safety protocols to prevent damage, loss, or theft.
**Salary**: AED4,000.00 per month
