**About us**:
At Maharat Learning Center we support children and young adults with Specific Learning Difficulties including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), as well as other cognitive disorders, developmental delays and learning difficulties that may be affecting their academic performance, and promote their inclusion in to the broader community. Our programs are individualized and our teaching style utilizes Assistive Technology, Augmentative Alternative Communication, ABA teaching techniques, online resources, virtual reality, robotics and other innovative technology to teach children and young adults the academic, social and life skills they need to succeed in school, college and life.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform relevant and necessary speech and language assessments and evaluations and write corresponding reports.
- Provide screening, consultation, comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, intervention and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement highly specialized speech and language therapy programs to facilitate the recovery of speech, language and swallowing function.
- Design and implement structured and individualized treatment speech programs to teach children with various speech disorders or delays.
- Collect data and maintain documentation pertaining to each child’s program.
- Provide ongoing guidance within each client’s individual program, ensuring each client’s continued progress towards realizing their maximum potential.
- Communicate questions, child’s progress, or other feedback to parents, teachers, Behavioral Supervisors, and behavior technicians.
- Review behavior management techniques to ensure consistency in behavior intervention, while at the same time reducing the occurrence of maladaptive behaviors.
- Participate in clinical / team meetings, workshops, and training seminars as necessary.
- Educate and train parents, teachers, teacher aides, and behavior technicians in speech techniques utilized for each child, in order to ensure consistency of interventions.
- Provide ongoing guidance to parents, teachers, teacher aides and behavior technicians regarding instructional techniques for speech development and individual client needs.
- Write quarterly and annual progress reports to parents using sound speech and language terminology.
- Arrive on time to all scheduled sessions; mínimal cancellations.
- Maintain accurate and timely records including timesheets and reports.
- Assist with other administrative tasks when required.
- Providing such other services as are ancillary to the foregoing or as the Employer may reasonably request (preparing therapy material, etc.) (collectively, the “Services”).

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech / Linguistics.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Speech & Language Therapist.
- Valid DHA license or DHA eligibility letter.
- Previous experience in working with children with speech disorders and other speech related delays
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and / or Arabic.
