We are currently seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Assistant to join our team. As an IT Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide first-line technical support to end users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, escalating complex issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams when necessary.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with user account management, including creating, modifying, and disabling user accounts in various systems.
- Maintain an inventory of IT hardware and software assets, ensuring accurate tracking and regular audits.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity and security.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining audio-visual equipment for meetings and presentations.
- Stay updated on emerging IT trends and technologies, and suggest improvements to current systems and processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting common hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Familiarity with basic network concepts and security practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
