Mason/painter

**JOB PURPOSE**
- Lays building materials, including concrete and brick, and constructs or repairs surfaces or structures. Working conditions include restricted movement, dirty environment, extreme temperatures, lifting or carrying heavy objects.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To carry out all masonry work within the confines of the plant on walls, floors, or any other items as directed.
- To perform repairs to wall plaster and renderings.
- To perform repair work in interior and exterior building walls.
- To carry out erection work of new walls and demolition work of existing walls as directed by the supervisor.
- To carry out repairs on existing wall and floor tilework and to lay new tiles as instructed.
- To be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and always observe these meticulously.
- To observe cleanliness at the place of work and on the job after completion of work.
- To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub sections of the Department.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Prepares surfaces prior to beginning work.
- Fabricates, alters, repairs, and maintains walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, bathroom showers, sink counters, partitions, manholes, and other related structures or surfaces.
- Lays blocks or bricks following blueprints, plans, or drawings.
- Determines work requirements and sequence of masonry/tile assignments through review of work orders, plans, or drawings.
- Lays out work using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, and levels.
- Cuts or breaks bricks and concrete using hammers, powered abrasive saws, paving breakers, drills, and/or hand tools.
- Molds expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
- Operates equipment, such as forklift, dump truck, and flatbed.
- Estimates materials and labor.
- Should have knowledge of Wall painting, ceiling painting, Epoxy painting, Furniture painting and Spray painting.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Someone who understand and speak English as a way of communication.
- Proficiency in various masonry techniques including bricklaying, block laying, and stone masonry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

**EXPERIENCE**
- **Minimum of 2 years experiences in UAE.**

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
