**Position Summary**:
The Assistant Storekeeper performs duties to support receiving and shipping, deliveries, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records, and all Bin-Pick activities as instructed by the Storekeeper or HOD.

**Summary of Main Duties**:

- Actively participates in upholding and promoting the vision and culture of University Hospital - Sharjah (UHS)
- Complies with all UHS policies and procedures and fire regulations
- Participates in all aspects of the International Accreditation program to contribute in the UHS attainment and maintenance of international accreditation standards
- Fills material requisitions; assists Storekeeper to order adequate supplies; delivers orders to Hospital and staff.
- Stores, tags and tracks surplus/expired stock; prepares lists for items to be returned, condemned or sold at auction.
- Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Trains and directs the work of Delivery Staff (Porters).
- Self-development participate in internal orientation, mandatory competencies, ongoing education programs to maintain a current knowledge base as needed
- Works any shift as per the duty roster of the Materials Management Department when designated
- The employment terms and conditions for this position are specified in the individuals Employment Contract

- Minimum 2 years of Experience in a Hospital.
- Computer literate.

- Familiar with modern warehouse procedures, including methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials; basic stock inventory procedures; requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, freight tags, and the use and meaning of each; computerized warehouse record keeping systems.
