Job Purpose

To manage systematic stocking of materials at sites/ stores and facilitate accurate/ timely receipt and issuance of goods enabling smooth execution of project.

Functional Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive materials from suppliers, physically count / check the specifications and verify with the delivery note
- Arrange storage of materials in a safe and secured manner so as to avoid any possibility of damage or loss due to improper handling and storage. Also ensure that the material are easily tracked and retrieved as and when required
- Assist project in charge in preparing the purchase requisition
- Issue materials to site, based on requirements after getting acknowledgement on material issue voucher and update material issue register accordingly
- Maintain & update current stock/ inventory levels and provide periodic reports to the project in charge
- Arrange a stock check on monthly basis as per the statutory requirements of audit and reconcile physical stock with the book stock
- Ensure that all safety, security and health related precautionary measures are followed inside the store to avoid any accident/ mishaps
