**General Manager -Freight Forwarding, NVOCC and Vessel Operations**

**Experienced General Manager with quality experience in Shipping
- Freight Forwarding, NVOCC and Feeder Operations.**

The **General Manager (Freight Forwarding/NVOCC/Vessel Operations)** will have the ability and vision of the business to set up effective long-term strategies and direction that successfully navigates business through competitive waters. This includes significant development of new clients to sell our logistics and supply Chain services, as well as building strong/long-term customer relations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise daily operations, including the oversight of shipments, tracking deliveries, and resolution of any arising issues.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly providing accurate information and addressing concerns or complaints.
- Collaborate with various departments, such as sales, finance, and operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Analyze data to identify trends, enhance processes, and boost efficiency.
- Train and manage staff to meet performance expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
- Partner with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management.
- Expand the client base by prioritizing excellent client service and successfully securing new business.
- Manage communication with international agents concerning bookings and negotiate handling fees and other origin costs.
- Develop standardized operating procedures for various accounts.
- Analyze sales statistics to aid in planning and sales activities. Review sales activity reports, and other performance data, to measure productivity and goal achievement for use in executing required actions in cost reduction and program improvements.
- Build all channels to generate sales pipelines and long-term customer relationships to foster revenue generation and growth opportunities.
- Enhance operational efficiency and reduce end-to-end delivery costs.
- Identify and leverage financial opportunities that drive savings through gross margin initiatives.
- Advocate for efficiency improvements, cost reduction measures, and assist in implementing changes within your scope of responsibility.
- Manage and draft supplier contracts, negotiating and proposing agreements to maintain competitiveness in the market.
- Develop and implement product marketing strategies including advertising campaigns and sales promotions, exhibitions, attending Conferences etc.

**Skills & Experience**:

- 10+ years of experience in sales and operations of international freight forwarding/NVOCC/Vessel Operations Experience.
- Industry Knowledge and ability to present related information in a way that makes sense to all audiences, organizations and/or groups to foster full appreciation for offered services.
- Be capable to build good relationships with customers at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills: Outgoing, positive, engaging in conversation and willing to give up your free time to interact with the public. This requires the skill of public speaking and the ability to speak comfortably in front of a group.
- A good team player with Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Masters/Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Supply Chain/Ship Management.

**Experience**:

- NVOCC Operations: 10 years (required)
- General Manager: 5 years (required)

License/Certification:

- UAE Driving Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (required)
