**JOB SUMMARY***

The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible to provide technical, operational and administrative assistance to the Engineering Leadership of the department on all Mechanical related issues. To install, maintain, perform preventative maintenance on, and recommend replacement of all building Mechanical systems, tools, appliances, and equipment. Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc. Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies for all Mechanical systems, as needed. Maintain inventory and purchase orders log. Inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Enter and locate work-related information using computers.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**Experience**:

- **Minimum 3 years Mechanical supervisory experience in a 5-star Hotel or equivalent**

**Skills and Knowledge**
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial & building Mechanical systems
- Good understanding of Mechanical Code (both local and ASME) & an ability to Read and follow blueprints / schematics
- Extensive Hands-on Mechanical experience, inclusive use of relevant Trade Tools, equipment & instrumentation
- Proven experience leading a multi-disciplined technical team
- Strong customer focus/perspective and relationship skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

**Education or Certification**
- **Diploma in Mechanical engineering or equivalent**

**SPECIFIC DUTIES**
- The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:_
- Managing the smooth operation of all the Mechanical systems in the building to ensure superior guest service and product quality
- Conduct daily walk-throughs to visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the Mechanical systems and equipment
- To inspect work assignments to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and within specifications
- Effectively supervise, train, and assign tasks to and follow-up with Mechanical Team, to ensure maximum productivity
- To schedule and/or perform preventive maintenance duties as outlined in the Preventative Maintenance Program and follow and enforce procedures that ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment etc
- To replenish Mechanical supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimize waste; and make sure equipment is prepared and operational for the following day's work
- Adhere to all company required purchasing policies and controls to stay within budget guidelines.
- Follow prescribed safety procedures and emergency plans for personnel and equipment by the company and according to local laws and regulations.
- Participate in effective energy management programs and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel.
- Conducts a daily briefing with Mechanical section team members on current key activities.
- Anticipate and respond to guest issues and establish proactive processes to promote guest satisfaction.
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors/contractors, as assigned
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment & Performing related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Ensuring all Team associates have the proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
- Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with Team associates.
- Ensures that regular on-going communication occurs with associates in order to create awareness of business objectives, communicate expectations and recognize performance.
- Carry out senior Engineering Leadership instructions or other designated person of authority
