**Company Description**
The German International School Abu Dhabi (GISAD) is a recognised German school abroad with currently over 470 students from kindergarten to the Abitur. GISAD was once again rated as one of the best schools (out of over 180) in Abu Dhabi by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge in 2018 and 2021.

Our school is looking for a dedicated Arabic teacher who is passionate about teaching the Arabic language and culture and encouraging students to become fluent in and appreciate this rich and diverse language.

**Position profile**:

- Active participation in teamwork, especially in the Arabic department and in the foreign language department.
- Planning and organisation of extracurricular projects such as school trips, excursions, projects, AGs.
- Co-organisation and implementation of school events.
- Active participation in the dynamic development of the school.
- Participation in regular further training and independent professional development of teaching quality.

**Qualifications** Job profile**:

- Bachelor of Education and degree in Arabic (and/or Islamic Studies).
- Excellent knowledge of English and preferably very good knowledge of German language.
- If possible, teaching experience in the German system.
- Experience with competence-oriented, language-sensitive teaching and cooperative, open forms of learning.
- Friendly, reliable, resilient, honest, cooperative, and communicative personality.
- Acute sense of responsibility, professionalism in teaching and in dealing with the team and management.
- Close cooperation with the head of the Arabic department, the integration officer, and the school management.
- Willingness to embrace novel approaches and accept existing structures.
- Openness to supervision and further training for professional development.
- A high degree of empathy and a motivating demeanour when working with children, parents, and staff.
- Intercultural sensitivity and openness towards families with different backgrounds and languages.
