**Objectives of this Role**:
**The Inclusion LSA will play an essential role, prioritising student well-being and promoting inclusive and data-responsive decision-making in our actively growing school. The newly appointed Inclusion LSA will collaborate with the wider school community to ensure the best outcomes for students. We seek individuals who can contribute to and enhance the character of our school while bringing a deep understanding of inclusive values to enrich the cultural fabric of our community. Your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of the National Curriculum for England in an international context will play a pivotal role in shaping our students' character and academic journey.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work as part of the Inclusion Team at the school to ensure all students have the best possible chance of success whilst working in line with school expectations and the school ethos
- Develop and personalise a range of programmes, activities and opportunities to provide extra support for identified students.
- Liaise closely with teachers and class LSAs to provide personalised support for identified students that leads to them engaging in learning and achieving in line with their potential.
- Attend and actively participate in regular inclusion meetings and carry out agreed action points from the meetings.
- Manage and deliver the interventions for identified students and monitor the impact of the intervention, reporting to the Head of Inclusion/SENCO/IST and teaching staff on the progress being made with the student.
- Report to the Head of Inclusion/SENCO/IST and class teachers on the developments of identified students due to the intervention taking place.
- Contribute to child welfare and protection, keeping up to date with the latest procedures and regulations and ensuring attendance at appropriate INSET training and meetings.
- Systematically maintain logs and records of support implemented for each individual pupil.
- Contribute to the whole school provision map.
- Maintain and update their own timetables.
- Review and adapt lesson plans and provide support resources for class use as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educated to a good standard with GCSE English and Maths (A*-C) or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with children and young people
- Further qualification in working with children, young people and families is desirable
- Experience of working with or in an alternative provision is desirable
- Experience of working in an inclusive school setting
- An awareness of range of needs of people from diverse ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds.
- Good ICT skills
- Ability to deal with challenging behaviour.
- Ability to act on own initiative.
- Ability to motivate and encourage pupils
- Ability to observe and monitor progress and maintain records.
- Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team and across team
- Ability to adapt provision according to needs
