The School of Computer Science aims to produce innovative, well-rounded, hands-on professionals that are well versed in technological and computing concepts and skills. The school offers 7 programmes under the umbrella of computer science and IT. Those programmes are designed to be practical and focused on industry needed skills in popular areas of computer science and IT, including: Software development, Cyber Security, Big data and AI, Gaming and mobile development, Business information systems, IT management, and digital transformation.

Requirements & Responsibilities

UOWD is currently seeking applicants to fill the position of Instructor - Computer Science (Permanent Full Time) with the School of Computer Sciences. The Instructor position is suitable for applicants who are looking to gain experience to develop their scholarly career.

The position holder is also expected to conduct tutorials and laboratory experiments in the broad areas related to, Computer and Network Security, Cryptography, Ethical Hacking, and general tutorial and labs related to computer science such as programming, database management, web technologies, and networking. In addition, the position holder is expected to contributed to school events, recruitment activities, and relevant committees and governance requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum qualification includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited institution.
- Teaching experience in Computer labs and tutorials
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff. Fluency in English language (both spoken and written)
- Working knowledge and experience with Computer Organization, Architecture, Networking Working knowledge and experience with operating systems: Linux, ubuntu, Windows, IOS, Android Knowledge and experience of cloud computing
- Working knowledge of common information and cyber security tools i.e. Wireshark, Kali Linux, John the Ripper, Metasploit, Tcpdump, Nikto, Forcepoint, Paros Proxy, Nmap, Nessus Professional, Nexpose, TrueCrypt, Netstumbler, Aircrack-ng, KeyPass, Splunk, Tor, Nagios, OSSEC, POf, Snort, Acunetix, Argus, Bitdefender, Malwarebytes, LifeLock, Mimecast, Webroot
- Extensive experience in programming (C/C++, Java, Python,) and in scripting languages
