Correctional/forencic Psychologist

**Job description**

**Job Post: Prison/Correctional Psychologist**

**Location**: Confidential government entity operated by Ciconia, Abudhabi.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Clinical Psychology.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in prison psychology and correctional settings.
- Proficiency in administering the following psychological assessment tools:

- Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R)
- Aggressive Personality Scale (APS-20)
- Personality tests
- Coping Strategy Indicator (CSI)
- Directed Aggression Scale towards Self (ICAR) and towards Others (ICA).

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of inmates using specified assessment tools.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the needs of incarcerated individuals.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address a range of psychological issues prevalent in prison populations.
- Collaborate with correctional staff and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and treatment planning.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of assessments, treatments, and progress reports.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong understanding of psychological principles and theories relevant to criminal behavior and prison environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a confidential and high-security government setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
