**Carpenter**

A Wedding event company is looking for an experienced Carpenter, who can work effectively on the production of event related furniture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to use materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
- Installing and Production of Stages, Dance floors and Partitions
- Ability to work with wood suppliers who will do veneers or parquet and also advertising companies who will install stickers etc on the platforms, by providing accurate sizes and dimensions
- Able to construct and manufacture furniture like chairs, tables and units etc
- Constructing useful scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels. Tools that are beneficial for production and set ups
- Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or images to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
- Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Storing and organizing tools (screws, hinges, woods etc) and keeping count of inventory.
- Ability to work on intricate designs and fine work for events backdrop or decorative items
- Ability to provide suggestions for a more smooth operation and transportation of items from warehouse to venues
- Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
- Maintains a clean a professional working procedure at warehouse and venues of events

**Carpenter Qualifications / Skills**:

- Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
- Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
- Ability to work on shifts and overtime when events are nearby and deadlines are short

**Salary**: From AED1,800.00 per month
