Responsibilities:
- Utilize extensive knowledge of the construction industry to oversee procurement processes efficiently.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various building and material companies, establishing strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about current market rates and trends in the construction sector.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify procurement needs and specifications.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and ensure timely project delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, fostering long-term partnerships and addressing any issues promptly.
- Streamline procurement procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Keep abreast of industry advancements, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform procurement decisions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Procurement Officer in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction processes, and industry suppliers.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Proficient in market analysis and able to adapt procurement strategies based on industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.
