Job Title: Cashier

The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service and processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale. This includes handling cash, processing payments, maintaining accurate transaction records, and providing exceptional service to customers. The Cashier will work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations at the checkout or cashier station, and maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner, and provide prompt and efficient service at the checkout or cashier station.
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently, including scanning items, entering prices, processing payments, and providing change as needed.
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate transaction records, including receipts, voids, returns, and exchanges, and reconcile cash register at the end of each shift.
- Answer customer inquiries about products, prices, and promotions, and provide information on store policies and procedures.
- Assist with bagging and packaging of merchandise, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout or cashier station, and ensure that it is stocked with necessary supplies, such as bags, receipt paper, and cash register tapes.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, and loss prevention.
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner, and escalate complex issues to a supervisor or manager when necessary.
- Collaborate with other team members, such as store associates and supervisors, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer experience.

- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role is preferred, but not required.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive and friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, and customer service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
