- We are seeking an HSE Officer who will play a crucial role in ensuring health and safety standards are met across our projects. Responsibilities include:

Assisting the HSE manager in reviewing and approving contractors' Health and Safety Plans according to client and legal requirements.
- Reviewing method statements and risk assessments for contractors.
- Monitoring occupational health and safety implementations at construction sites, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and technical specifications.
- Conducting inspections to evaluate workplace safety and ensure activities are conducted safely.
- Performing weekly joint EHS inspections with contractor personnel and ensuring closure of corrective/preventive actions.
- Conducting and assisting with OSH/EHS audits, such as Fire Audit, Quarterly Audit, and Heat Stress and welfare facility audit, and reporting findings to the HSE Manager.
- Following up on contractor incident investigations and ensuring timely completion of closeout actions.
- Assisting in developing technical reports, such as Monthly OSH/EHS Statistic Report and management walk inspection report, and submitting them to the client.
- Ensuring the competency of contractor OSH/EHS staff in line with Client OSH/EHS competency guidelines and requirements.
- Monitoring the contractor OSH Objectives & Targets Action Plan and ensuring targets are achieved.
- Planning and organizing service requests to meet target dates and production goals.
- Organizing HSE meetings among staff, monthly HSE meetings with clients & top Management, and preparing agendas, minutes, and providing guidance.
- Organizing and assisting in the conduction of induction training.
- Assisting in developing and implementing the project-specific OSH/EHS training program.
- Providing guidance in developing the project OSH/EHS incentive program.
- Ensuring the availability of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Liaising with clients and enforcement authorities to ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations for the project.
- Ensuring that TBT (toolbox talk) is carried out by the supervisor at least on a weekly basis.
- Overseeing installations, maintenance, and disposal of substances.
- Stopping any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
- Recording and investigating incidents to determine causes and handling worker’s compensation claims.
- Preparing reports on occurrences and providing statistical information to upper management.
- Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery, etc.).
- Conducting risk assessments and enforcing preventative measures.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- OSHAD Registered with Grade A.
- (AIIRSM) Associated Member of International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
- NEBOSH IGC, International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or NVQ Level 3 International Diploma on-going.
