**Job Summary**

HomeCubes Management FZE is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer (CO) with a strong background in cryptocurrency and blockchain compliance to lead our regulatory efforts, ensuring adherence to the UAE’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) standards. The CO will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs, focusing on anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CFT). This role requires deep knowledge of virtual asset regulations and close collaboration with departments across the company, including Risk, IT, and Operations.

**Key Responsibilities**Regulatory Compliance and Policy Development
- Ensure full compliance with VARA, FATF, AML/CFT, and other relevant UAE and international regulatory standards within the cryptocurrency sector.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update compliance policies and procedures tailored to virtual asset operations and blockchain-based services.
- Lead internal compliance audits and support external regulatory audits, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions.

AML/CFT and Crypto Asset Compliance
- Oversee AML/CFT programs, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes, specific to cryptocurrency transactions.
- Manage compliance tools, such as Sumsub for KYC/CDD and Scorchain for wallet verification and transaction monitoring, ensuring they are aligned with crypto industry standards.
- Monitor and report suspicious transactions within the blockchain and crypto asset framework, maintaining timely and accurate regulatory reporting.

Risk Management in the Crypto Space
- Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks associated with virtual assets and crypto transactions.
- Maintain the Compliance Risk Register, tracking compliance risks unique to cryptocurrency, including wallet monitoring, transaction transparency, and exchange integrations.

Reporting and Blockchain-Based Coordination
- Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management and the Board of Directors, addressing compliance metrics, incident reports, and audit results within the crypto space.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and maintain knowledge of updates within virtual asset regulations, ensuring HomeCubes remains aligned with evolving crypto compliance standards.

Third-Party and Internal Coordination
- Oversee and evaluate third-party crypto service providers (e.g., Sumsub, Scorchain, Transak) to ensure their services meet HomeCubes' compliance needs within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
- Work closely with the CIO, CRO, and other department heads to embed crypto-specific compliance practices across all relevant functions.

Training and Awareness on Crypto Compliance
- Develop and conduct specialized compliance training programs for employees on crypto-related regulatory obligations, risk management, and best practices.
- Hold regular training sessions to keep employees informed of changes within the crypto regulatory landscape and the unique compliance demands of virtual assets.

**Key Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a compliance role, with significant experience in cryptocurrency or blockchain-related firms.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements for crypto assets, including VARA, FATF, AML/CFT laws specific to digital currencies.
- Familiarity with KYC, CDD, and transaction monitoring platforms used in the crypto sector, and proficiency in using these tools for compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting reports to senior management.

**Preferred Skills and Competencies**
- Certification in AML, CFT, or crypto compliance (e.g., CAMS, CCI, or ICA).
- Experience with virtual asset service providers (VASPs), including knowledge of wallet verification, transaction monitoring, and blockchain-based compliance standards.
- Problem-solving abilities with a focus on crypto risk management and regulatory adherence.
