**Curriculum Development**: Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans in economics that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
- **Instruction**: Deliver engaging and interactive instruction in economics, covering topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic systems, market structures, fiscal policy, monetary policy, international trade, and economic theories.
- **Student Assessment**: Assess student learning through various methods such as quizzes, exams, projects, presentations, and class discussions. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
- **Classroom Management**: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and success. Establish and enforce classroom rules and behavioral expectations.
- **Differentiated Instruction**: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students. Provide additional support or enrichment opportunities as needed to ensure all students can succeed.
- **Use of Technology**: Integrate technology and digital resources effectively into instruction to enhance learning experiences and student outcomes. Utilize educational software, multimedia presentations, and online resources to supplement classroom teaching.
- **Parent Communication**: Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, academic performance, and classroom activities. Collaborate with parents to support student learning and address any concerns or challenges.
- **Professional Development**: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in economics education, teaching strategies, and educational trends. Participate in workshops, conferences, and training sessions as required.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in economics or a related field is typically required. A master's degree or higher in economics or education is often preferred.
- **Teaching Certification**: Valid teaching certification/license in economics or secondary education from an accredited institution or governing body.
- **Teaching Experience**: Prior experience teaching economics at the secondary or post-secondary level is desirable. Experience with diverse student populations and teaching in multicultural settings is a plus.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex economic concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and stakeholders. Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in student success are essential.
- **Technology Skills**: Proficiency in using educational technology, multimedia tools, and digital resources for instruction and assessment purposes.
- **Organizational Skills**: Effective organizational and time-management skills to plan and deliver instruction, manage classroom activities, and meet administrative deadlines.
