Overview
Mange repair orders/services following contract terms, internal policies and best practice. Perform analysis on bids to ensure GAL receives best price and quality while ensuring transactional profitability. Track repair returns and liaise with Logistics function to ensure timely delivery to customers. Maintain approved MRO list for aircraft applicability/aviation equipment and track repair vendor performance.
Also will be responsible for:
1. Conduct effective sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, contracting and supplier performance management.
2. Keep up to date with customer contract terms, internal policies
3. Record the demand received in the system with relevant details
4. Identify suitable manufacturers/distributors for demanded product/services using various tools used in Aviation and Commercial Industry
5. Send RFP’s to the potential suppliers
6. Explore possible alternate material/source to save cost and improve delivery time
7. Co-ordinate with customer/end user for technical details where necessary
8. Prepare customer quotations, bid analysis as per terms agreed with customers and internal guidelines.
9. Create sales order in system with relevant details
10. Create purchase order with detail to line items, and any specicic terms needed
11. Send approved purchase order to supplier and track for its acknowledgement
12. Responsible for maintaining all transactions in automated system.
13. Co-ordinate with concerned departments within the company to mitigate their issues impacting timely delivery of item
14. Liaise with Logistics department to ensure goods and services are delivered timely and cost effectively.
15. Manage and track orders in terms of priority, i.e. IOR, AOG etc.
16. Advice and report to supervisor on procurement activity, savings, achievements, concerns
Other duties related to the job, as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification
- Technical Diploma, preferably in a Aviation discipline. Bachelor’s Degree would be a plus.
Experience
- At least 3 years in aviation and technical supply operations.
- Work experience as a material planner in aviation operation is highly desirable.
