Our objectives are to achieve cleaner and healthier oceans by increasing the protection of oceanic ecosystems and marine life, as well as by raising awareness of issues impacting the marine environment, and the life within it.

**What we offer**:
Azraq creates an environment with students, individuals, and corporate organisations to CONNECT or RECONNECT with the ocean environment through a range of activities, in conjunction with EDUCATION and AWARENESS presentations and/or workshops. We aim to MOTIVATE and ACTIVATE the community to take different approaches in their everyday lives, positively impacting the ocean and, as a result, their own health. Additionally, we utilise a volunteer base to deliver our programs, whether it be education, auditing waste, monitoring trials, collecting and re-purposing waste products, or hosting eco-focused events and activities.

**Key responsibilities**:
The Activation Manager will report to the Head of Activation and will be responsible for executing activities for our members and clients. These include beach and ocean clean ups, mangrove tree planting days, corporate/educational presentations, reef surveys and other events (though not limited to) will be the following:

- Supervise and plan the tasks of field volunteers.
- Developing the volunteering (team leaders) community.
- Working in parallel with the Activation Team to support recruitment activities.
- Project managing conservation/activation activities and ensuring that deliverables are met within a timely manner whilst adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Managing the videography and photography during the activity and ensuring that all content is shared with the Marketing team for the purpose of promoting the events on social media.
- Accountable for all personnel to arrive on time.
- Confirming activities in advance including but not limited to, dates, locations, timings, meeting points, parking options, duration, equipment needs, clothing requirements and payments.
- Ensuring field volunteers and participants have the necessary equipment such as hessian bags, gloves, containers, tarpaulins, and access to dive or snorkelling equipment.
- Keeping track of additional required items for any activities and informing the Head of Activation if the purchase is necessary.
- Ensuring that waste management teams are available to remove the marine debris that is not being recycled.
- Assistance to the president of AZRAQ with general management duties.
- Lead and motivate project teams, provide feedback, and evaluate performance, identify trainings required.
- Oversee data collection, analyse progress, and ensure compliance.
- Create regular progress reports including impact data for all events for stakeholders and maintain project records.
- Ensure projects adhere to regulations and environmental standards.
- Passionate about sustainability, the environment, and the community
- Willingness to learn & attention to detail.
- Knowledge and/or previous experience in volunteering work.
- Strong grasp of written and spoken English (Arabic a bonus).
- Ability to plan, manage and bring projects to completion.
- Success in collaborative work, and in working with people of different backgrounds, experiences, and opinions.
- Strong planning, organisational skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Should be able to work 4 hours a day for 5 days a week (20 hours weekly).
- Valid UAE driving license and own vehicle.
- Has own UAE visa. Remuneration The salary for this position is AED. 25.60 per hour and will be capped at AED. 2,250 per month.
- The position will initially be for a three-month period to ensure fit.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
