Middle East & Africa Cluster CFO
As the MEA Cluster CFO, you will lead the Finance organization for the MEA cluster by driving insights through client financials and analytics and providing end-to-end legal entity financial management. The MEA Cluster CFO will serve as the Senior Finance Officer within the MEA cluster and for the legal entities within the MEA cluster.
This C16 role will report directly to the Banking & International, Client and Legacy CFO and will be part of the MEA Cluster Leadership team. A key responsibility for the role is to lead and develop the Cluster Finance team by delivering on two key components: 1) Cluster, Country, and Client Financials; and 2) Legal Entity Financial Management.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Drive insight on client strategy and resource deployment through robust analytical capabilities at the country, cluster, and client financials level
- Monitor financial performance across cluster/countries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting business effort to achieve responsible growth
- Lead the cluster finance team, with involvement in all financial processes including strong engagement with Cluster and Country leadership, Controllers, Tax, Corporate Treasury and FP&A and assist in administering the full spectrum of Financial functional disciplines across the cluster
- Work in partnership with FP&A and Controllers to deliver all finance activities required for Local Regulatory Processes such as capital stress testing, local ICAAP etc.
- Works in partnership with FP&A and Controllers to deliver all finance activities required to support the local Boards within the cluster countries
- Contributes to deploying and measuring business contingency plans and representing Citi Finance internally and externally
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Provide financial metrics, analysis and variance analysis into business reviews with Cluster Head and country CCOs within the cluster
- Drive Finance Risk & Control agenda within the cluster including data accuracy and identify, assess and escalate risks
**Profile**:
- Education: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred
- Previous experience in banking, capital markets, finance, strategy and planning, with 15+ years of experience
- Strong project management experience to drive various initiatives to completion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Willingness to work / thrive in a pressured environment with tight deadlines
- Multi-tasking skills with efficiently prioritizing various conflicts and interests
- Proactive professional approach while actively seeking new assignments and delivering out-of-the-box results
- Independent thinker, with a strong will to develop and improve by challenging status quo
- Ability to build strong relationships and interact at all levels in the organization
- Proven adaptability to learn quickly and experience to work with various ethnic groups from diverse background and cultures
