As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be assisting with the running of the Group Technology Function/Council (GTF/C), the key governance forum across architecture and engineering functions. You will focus on consolidating information and producing strategic but key information, planning forward agendas, reporting, communications and escalations. In addition to GTF/C responsibilities, you will provide support to other projects as well as working very closely with the Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO) to devise and establish IT policies. This is a great opportunity to align closely with those responsible for key technical decision making prior to implementation.

Our client are currently operating a hybrid working model, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the Abu Dhabi & Dubai office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please note that our client emphasised that they want a hands-on person for the role.

**What will you be doing?**
- Overseeing all technology operations whilst making sure they achieve agreed goals.
- Maintaining the Action Log for the GTF/C review meetings
- Working with GTF/C attendees to collate materials in time for the agenda on a weekly basis in order to create the weekly presentation deck.
- Driving a weekly review with the GTF/C chairperson and presenters before the GTF/C meets
- Recording and issuing the minutes, updating the Actions and Decisions log and escalating issues for resolution
- Collating inputs for the GTF/C Monthly Metric Report, which will be complied as a separate pack to the main agenda
- Managing the schedule for all GTF/C meetings ensuring that attendees and distribution lists are up to date and have invitations
- Ensuring GTF/C SharePoint and Confluence sites are kept up to date with all documents for access and audit purposes
- Identifying risks and issues that may impact future decisions as well as offer proposed solutions on how best they can be remediated.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Senior stakeholder management with the ability to challenge and negotiate
- Degree level or equivalent working experience of PMO roles or Head of IT/ management roles within a technical area with over 15 years of experience.
- Very high level of written and communication skills, MS Office Suite to include strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to gain a minimum understanding of the technology related information
- Technical experience in public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in the complex aspects of Cloud and Service Delivery and have a good understanding of Agile Methodologies
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications / capabilities
- Confident delivering transformation initiatives mandated by the CBUAE, particularly those with a Systems focus and maintains custom objects, object relationships, standard and custom fields and process builder.

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Recognised qualification in Project, Programme or Portfolio Management I.e. Management of Portfolio (MoP).
- Preferably a background in working in Technology organisations, and or regulatory environments with a high level of governance.
- Interest and awareness to learn about the current and emerging technologies would be highly beneficial and key to assisting the GTF/C.

**Where will you be working?**

You will be in the Abu Dhabi office mainly but may sometimes be required to visit the Dubai office.
