The College of Communication and Media Sciences is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications and the International Advertising Association accredits its Integrated Strategic Communications concentration.

Studies lead to a B.S. Degree in Communication and Media Sciences with concentrations in one of three areas: Integrated Strategic Communications, Media Production and Storytelling and Tourism and Cultural Communications. Graduate programs leading to an M.A. degree also exist in Tourism and Cultural Communication and in Strategic Public Relations.

**Qualifications**
Applicants for the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor must have a terminal degree (MFA/PhD) with a specialization in Media, Film, Broadcasting, or Journalism from a QS ranked university, that is or can be equalized by the UAE Ministry of Education. A Doctorate in Media Studies is particularly desirable.
Professional media experience is desirable, including broadcasting and studio work, as well as a proven track record of excellence in teaching. In addition, a comprehensive creative portfolio/established track record of publications in Scopus-listed or ranked journals is desired.
