**ABOUT US**
**Ascent Search **recruits top-bracket talent for investors and rapidly growing companies globally - including major Sovereign Wealth Funds, PE & VC funds, Startups/Scaleups and Corporate leaders.
We are based in Dubai, with assignments in US, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
**THE ROLE: Research Associate**
**Research - assignments**
- Working with the Team on active assignments
**Research - market mapping**
- market mapping (current employees & alumni of top-tier Consulting, Investment Banking & Advisory firms)
- complete org charts for leading Investment funds in key markets - US, EMEA and APAC
- Ad hoc research according to new project requirements (preparing company reports & news etc.)
- Providing recommendations of new business targets (companies hiring from our networks)
**Other**
- **Market Intelligence**:Conducting cyclical benchmarking research (e.g. industry salary surveys).
**REQUIREMENTS**
**Qualifications**
- Native / fluent English speaker, with excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
- 1 year or more post-degree experience in a relevant commercial function such as Recruitment/Executive Search; or Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Market Research etc.
- Advantageous: experience with LinkedIn professional tools, Recruitment CRMs or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
**Other** **competencies**
- Energetic and proactive; able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Self-starter with good attention to detail.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and working towards targets.
- Strong alignment with company values: Service-minded, Integrity, pursues excellence and a sense of humour.
- Demonstrable interest in business and emerging markets; especially related to Finance and fast-growing companies.
- Proficient with MS Office - experience with MS Excel (or Google Sheets)
