Internal Auditor

**JOB PURPOSE**

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified **Internal Auditor** to lead the internal audit function for organizations under the Department of Civil Aviation, Fujairah, UAE.

**NATURE & SCOPE**

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on internal audits across both organizational and financial domains. This role will ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, providing assurance to the Chairman on the efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity of organizational processes and financial reporting.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**- **Audit Planning**: Develop comprehensive internal audit plans, focusing on **organizational processes and financial systems** to identify risks and areas for improvement.
- **Audit Execution**: Conduct detailed internal audits, including risk assessments, operational audits, and financial audits across the organizations within the department.
- **Compliance Monitoring**: Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and procedures, particularly in relation to the aviation industry in the UAE.
- **Internal Control Evaluation**: Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance systems.
- **Risk Assessment**: Identify potential risks and areas of non-compliance and provide recommendations for mitigating these risks.
- **Reporting**: Prepare and present audit reports to the Chairman, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommended actions for corrective measures.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Provide advice and recommendations for continuous improvement in internal processes and control systems.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with management and department heads to ensure that internal audit recommendations are implemented effectively.
- **Follow-Up Audits**: Conduct follow-up audits to monitor the implementation of corrective actions from previous audits.
- **Special Investigations**: Lead or participate in special audits, investigations, or other assignments as requested by the Chairman.

**QUALIFICATION**
- **Chartered Accountant (CA)** certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of **10 years of experience** in internal auditing, with a focus on both organizational and financial auditing.
- Strong knowledge of **auditing standards**, **internal controls**, and **risk management** practices.
- Experience in auditing **public sector** or **government organizations** is preferred.
- Familiarity with **UAE laws and regulations**, particularly in relation to the aviation sector, will be an advantage.
- Excellent **report writing**, **analytical**, and **problem-solving** skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in audit software and tools.

**EXPERIENCE**

The staff should be able to demonstrate the following experience:

- Minimum 10 years of work experience as Internal Auditor

**CA certification must.**

**Note : Chartered Accountant certification is Must.**

Pay: AED100.00 - AED222.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week

**Experience**:

- Internal Auditor: 10 years (required)
