JOB PURPOSE:
Carries out a variety of skilled machine shop work to fine tolerances which may arise from Plant Maintenance. This is to caters to the machining of components & machines’ parts, Heat Exchanger plugs, other machining jobs required for maintenance & Overhauling of Rotary & Static equipment, Valves, etc. which are vital for integrity & reliability of JV and ASR Plants.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Job Specific Accountabilities

Accountability 1
- Provides work directions and carries out machinery work on all the following types of machine tools.

a) Butler 460 X 1250 gap bed lathes.

b) Crawford Swift lathes capable of taking rotors 5 ft. In diameter, Centres 20 ft. and weight 13 tons.

c) Horizontal borer handling work pieces up to 25 ft. long and weighing 15 tons.

d) Vertical borer machining work pieces up to 72 inches in diameter and weighing 10 tons.

e) Surface and cylindrical grinders.

f) Horizontal milling machine.

g) Radial drilling machine.

h) Only carbon steel Metco wire and spraying.

i) Tool grinders.

j) Metal spray machine.
- Preparing all tools/equipment’s for the scheduled job. This includes machining keyways and Flanges as per requirement and machining gears in central workshop.
- Ensures that work is carried out in accordance with the Company's standards, codes of practices.
- Modifies and Progresses the manufacture of any special clamps or tools required for the job.
- Ensures good house-keeping practices including cleaning and lubricating machines as necessary in working areas.
- Carries out similar or related duties as assigned, such as reading engineering drawings and sketches and capable of sketching and drawing in order to progress the manufacture of engineering parts. Continual checks on housekeeping and work safety.

Others:

- Safeguard own Health and Safety, as well as that of the fellow employees, by paying attention to safe work practices, maintaining a safe work environment and complying with applicable HSE requirements.
- Take action to INTERVENE and STOP any un-safe activity or non-compliance with HSE requirements,
- if witnessed, and report the incident - regardless of your position or that of the transgressor

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field of mechanical maintenance.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 4 years of experience, in maintenance technical services preferably in mechanical.

Professional Certifications
- As required by the Company.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

- Good understanding of Quality Standard codes compliance and capable of resolving safety issues.
- Knowledge of the approved methods, material, tools, occupational hazards, proper safety precaution required at the work and equipment utilized in mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.

**Experience**:

- Mechanical - maintenance technical services: 4 years (preferred)
