**Job Summary**: The Food and Beverage Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the inventory of food and beverage products for the organization. This role involves ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cost-efficiency. The officer will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to meet the operational needs of the business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Procurement Management**:

- Source and purchase high-quality food and beverage products at competitive prices.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
- Monitor market trends to anticipate price fluctuations and availability issues.
- **Inventory Control**:

- Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet business demands while minimizing waste.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and operations team to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of products.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Ensure all purchased products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to resolve any issues related to product quality.
- Implement procedures to monitor and maintain the quality of incoming goods.
- **Budget Management**:

- Prepare and manage the purchasing budget for the food and beverage department.
- Track and report on spending to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- **Vendor Management**:

- Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list, ensuring a reliable supply chain.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of supplier performance.
- Resolve any disputes or issues that may arise with suppliers.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:

- Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required by the management team.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the culinary, finance, and operations teams to align purchasing strategies with business needs.
- Provide input on menu development and product selection based on market trends and cost analysis.
- Support new product launches and seasonal promotions by securing the necessary supplies.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage procurement or a related role.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

**Additional Skills**:

**Work Environment**:
