Mechanical Draftsman

**JOB PURPOSE**:
1. Sheetmetal product development

2. Design and drafting of sheet metal parts with GD&T

3. Reverse engineering of sheet metal products

4. Estimation

5. Preparing BOM and uploading in ERP

6. Follow up of prototype manufacturing

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / TASKS**:
1. Discussing with sales/customer to understand the requirement.

2. Try to convince/divert customer requirement into available manufacturing method.

3. Sourcing new manufacturing process if required.

4. Prepare cost estimates by studying all related customer documents and uploading in ERP system.

5. Sending material request to purchase team.

6. Accessories/Vender development if required.

7. Provide technical and engineering information to sales by answering questions and requests.

8. Accessing the volume of work and conforming engineering completion date to Sales team.

9. Close and smooth co-ordination with manufacturing team for prototype manufacturing & regular production

10. Ensure minimum material and manpower used.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS**:

- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant design/estimation experience.
- SolidWorks software and AutoCAD knowledge is must.
- Sheet metal knowledge
- Finite element analysing skill would an advantage.
- Turret punch, CNC Bending, Laser cutting, Roll forming knowledge are added advantage.
- Able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Precise and detail-oriented, comfortable with numbers.
- Ability to liaise with a diverse team (sales, manufacturing, Purchase,)
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, confident communication.
- Fluent in English. any additional language would be an advantage.
